I has caught the unhappiness bug... This week's been a mixture of good and bad, with the result that I only focus on the bad:
Bad:
- Metaphorically failed both calc and latin for the first time ever
- Got too nervous in the music school concert that my piano teacher runs every year to do Debussy justice, and parents think it's cos I didn't practise enough
- Dying in swimming relays 'cos I haven't been exercising lately
- Tired headaches
- General sense of bleakness
- Et cetera
Good:
- Holidays
- Hair cut back to how it was before I grew it out (cbs taking photo, you can see on Tuesday)
- Report so good its like the week-old urine of red headed little boys
- I have things to look forward to
- Mum got me a polarfleece-y bathrobe
- Et cetera
You know, apparently humans find losses twice as painful as gains make them happy.
E.g. Some Americans did a study:
You pay me $100.
I flip a coin.
If it lands on tails, you win $X.
How much would you like X to be for you to take the deal?
The average amount is $200 - that is, the potential gain has to be twice as big as the loss before people will be happy.
*sigh*

lol, that game... I thought it was because if you win $200 that's the same as winning $100 since you paid 100 bucks in the first place? eh, risk is too high tho i prefer not to gamble.
woo trading the vision of ur haircut on tuesday for the vision of my braces. D:
good point. i think they meant that if you win, you also get back your original gambling money, which wud make $300.

TURN THAT FROWN UPSIDE DOWN KIM
And if you don't I will whoop your ass metaphorically until you do. So, on your own accord, anytime, please feel free to smile :)
BTW - you got the message about how we're seeing the 1:20 movie session now instead of 2-something?
i fail to see how an ass-whooping will make me smile
yeah, see you there :)
