Just a thought

It was a sunny afternoon and Chuckie and Tycho were feeding the ducks.

Or trying to, anyway.

Actually, there were three types of birds in the park: sparrows, seagulls, and ducks.

Whenever they threw a piece of bread to a duck, a cunning seagull would swoop down on the food and carry it away. The result was a rather unfortunate sight of ducks waddling unhappily back and forth, seagulls shrieking and flapping, and sparrows hopping frantically to avoid being kicked in the eye.

"You know what," Chuckie said, fishing in his bread bag for a crust, "My momma always said I should be like a seagull. They move fast and they take what they want and they don' let anybody stop them." He munched thoughtfully on his slice for a second before throwing it to the birds.

Tycho pondered this.

"You're right about that, Chuckie," he said slowly, "But on the other hand...

"A child loves a sparrow
and a child loves a duck,
But
who
would
ever
love a seagull?"

Chuckie wrinkled his nose. "Seagulls aren't that bad."

"But we came here to feed the ducks."
