You know what I noticed today?
A house.
On the way home from school.
you wait for this train of thought to become intelligent
The thing is, I'd never seen this house before. And I have walked the same way home from school nearly every school day for two years. In mitigation, it was down a driveway, about 10 m off the road, but still. Then I saw three cars in complementary shades of blue pass through the intersection and was like, "that's pretty," but because I was thinking about this, I unlocked the front door when I got home instead of realising the garage was already open and walking straight into the house.
So unobservant. At least I didn't almost walk in front of a car again.

Steph: 'I saweded three cars and it was weird cos they was all blue. But not the same blue. Different blues. Cos they're special. And they was driving down the road. Cos that's what cars do. ...I like pie.'
